1. What information do you need from me?
We need your WordPress website admin, FTP and CPanel login details.
2. I have a WordPress.com website - can I use your services at WP Maintenance
Unfortunately not. We can only work with self-hosted WordPress websites.
3. Why should I trust you with my business website?
Because we live and breath WordPress Websites (building them, hosting them, and maintaining them) our team know the platform back to front. The WP Maintenance Team is made up of website designers, website developers, graphic artists, and blogging professionals - so you have access to a team of experts who are dedicated to fixing any issue you may have.
4. What will you do if my website is hacked?
As a client, WP Maintenance will continuously monitor your website using ongoing security scans. Unfortunately, even with this vigilance, no one can catch every security issue. In the event a security breach does take place, we will aim to respond immediately. Our team will remove any malicious code and fully restore your website from the most recent back-up.
5. What content update services are included in the Premium and Prosper packages?
As part of your package, you receive 2 hours of complimentary WordPress Website updates including graphic design, small coding jobs, fixing of website functionality issues, as well as adding and removal of content. Further work (over the 2 hours) is at a reduced rate of $66 per hour (incl of GST).
6. Can I do website maintenance myself?
Of course.
To be proficient at maintaining your website you will need to monitor it and attend to updates of the WordPress Core, Plugins and Themes quickly to avoid your website losing functionality, not appearing as it should, and to avoid the possiblity of it being compromised. As a business owner you may be time-poor, struggling to keep up with running your day-to-day activities, so outsourcing the website maintenance is a way of freeing up your time. Also, if something does go wrong, having someone with advanced website coding skills who can fix the issues is needed.
7. What happens if there is a WordPress plugin on my website, but it is no longer supported?
The plugin will still be monitored for issues. If no issues arise, it can remain on your site. If the plugin does begin to cause issues we will notify you of a more up-to-date alternative.
8. What if an update breaks my site?
If an update causes problems with your website, it can be restored using the most recent backup. This is why we always backup your website before performing a major update.
